SAVE HUNTERS HILL MUNICIPALITY (SHHMC)
The community group ‘Save Hunters Hill Municipality Coalition’ (SHHMC) was formed in August 2003 to prevent the then threat to amalgamate Hunters Hill Council. The ensuing battle was successful – see ‘Website 2003 Battle’
The Coalition has been reactivated to meet the real and present threat to Hunters Hill with the NSW Government breaking its election promise of no forced amalgamations and its promise of returning planning powers to local communities.
The SHHMC Co-convenors are former Mayor Ross Williams and Phil Jenkyn OAM. There are Coordinators for each of the eight precincts of Hunters Hill. For Precinct boundaries map click here.
